General Contractor

Canada Handyman is looking for a super-talented General Contractor to join our crew. This role is for a hands-on professional who understands residential and commercial property maintenance and can manage multiple projects from start to finish. As the lead person on the job site, you'll be the one making sure that every single project - no matter if it's just a small fix-up or a whole major renovation - is done with precision, moves along smoothly, and looks fantastic.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Our General Contractor will take charge of a range of tasks and project scopes, ensuring all our clients' needs are met through excellent workmanship and open communication.

• Project Management: This is a big job. You'll oversee multiple sites, ensuring everything is ordered on time, and the quality of the work exceeds our clients' expectations.

• Interior Renovations: You'll be responsible for executing and managing interior projects, including everything from repairing drywall to installing flooring to assembling cabinets.

• Carpentry and Structural Work: This will involve performing professional carpentry tasks, including repairing decks, installing doors, and framing for residential improvements.

• Plumbing and Mechanical: You'll perform minor plumbing repairs, replace fixtures and appliances, and ensure everything is running smoothly.

• Site Safety and Compliance: Keeping the work site safe and secure is a top priority. That means following all local safety rules and ensuring the site is tidy at the end of each day.

• Client Consultation: You'll speak with clients to understand their objectives, provide accurate quotes, and offer expert advice on materials and design solutions.

Requirements and Qualifications

We are looking for someone who brings strong dedication and a customer-first attitude to our team.

• Experience: You need to have at least 5-7 years of experience in general contracting, home renovations, or property maintenance under your belt.

• Licensing and Certification: We need someone who is fully licensed and has valid liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage.
